Last week, from 14–16 June, Schiavello took part in DENFAIR. This year we held two stands, one exhibiting the Gallery Chair, and the other, the Agile Table and Toku collection.
Just released, the Gallery Chair is designed by Chris Connell. It was commissioned by the National Gallery of Victoria (NGV) and features vibrant colours and geometric angles inspired by the Leonard French stained glass ceiling in the gallery’s Great Hall.
The Agile Table is another new product, released this year. This dynamic product, designed in collaboration with Amanda Stanaway and Schiavello’s People and Culture Principal Keti Malkoski, re-defines the ways people interact and activate workspaces. Also displayed was Gavin Harris’ Toku collection, Chris Connell’s Rib High Stools, and Kase storage, designed by New Zealander Sam Haughton.
Sarah Zerella, Schiavello’s consultant – people and culture consulting, represented us on-stage at the ‘Responsibility: Designing and Communicating Ethically’ panel discussion, in which she discussed what guides our moral compass when working in the design community.
In addition, Schiavello was proud to support Front / Centre – DENFAIR’s competition to find Australia’s best and most innovative young designers. See the list of the deserving winners here.
