Empowering team members with Climate

Designed by PTID Environments, the 3660sqm space leverages a simple and voluminous ‘tin shed’ to create a dramatic and exciting office environment. According to PTID, “the insertion of shipping containers created fun mezzanine meeting and collaborative areas, expanding valuable spatial volume.”

Schiavello was engaged to deliver a furniture solution to support the vision and objectives of the design. With a focus on collaboration, the new workplace offers a variety of areas for ad hoc, informal meetings. Schiavello’s standing height Geneva Tables enable spontaneous meetings to take place near workstation clusters. Kayt Quiet, a booth-like lounge with high sides and back, creates an instant space for private conversation or concentration.

The Climate workplace platform was specified for use throughout the office space. Selected for its user-centred design, Climate empowers team members to shape their work environment by clipping and easily adjusting a variety of accessories to Climate’s umbilical-like channel.

Schiavello also created highly customised storage solutions, including freestanding clothing rack systems, and for Typo, specialised storage units used for storing smaller brand-specific items. Recognised for excellence in workplace design, PTID’s interior for Cotton On was shortlisted for the 2014 Australian Interior Design Awards.
