The Garden State Hotel, a sprawling four level pub in the heart of Melbourne’s Flinders Lane, has been shortlisted for Best Bar Design at the 2016 Eat Drink Design Awards. Designed by Technē Architecture + Interior Design and constructed by Schiavello, the blossoming hotspot’s design inspiration centres on a large cascading beer garden. Reflecting this verdant theme, the name Garden State Hotel borrows Victoria’s century-old state title, ‘The Garden State’.

The annual Eat Drink Design Awards will take place in Melbourne on Tuesday 8 November 2016.
