Building on the recent success of the employment of our very first Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander apprentice, our Indigenous Engagement Manager, Kyle Vander Kuyp, has recruited our second apprentice, Jediaha Cam.

Jediaha met with Kyle in July through Schiavello’s supportive partnership with MatchWorks, where he toured our Tullamarine manufacturing facility with an eager attitude and keen interest right all the way through.


Over 600 guests celebrated the 15th annual IDEA (Interior Design Excellence Awards) at Melbourne’s heritage listed Meat Market on Friday November 24th. The IDEA program celebrates the best of Australian interior and product design across 14 different categories. This year saw a record number of submissions with 533 entries overall and over 250 projects shortlisted.

Schiavello sponsored the Gold Medal award for the second year and were proud to award  Principal and Chairman of HASSELL, Rob Backhouse the IDEA Gold Medal. Rob’s most memorable projects include Medibank Place, Melbourne, Lendlease head office, Sydney, and ANZ Centre, Melbourne. Congratulations to all the winning projects, and congratulations to Rob Blackhouse!


Schiavello is proud to have received the ‘SA CitySwitch Partnership of the Year Award’ for our collaboration with the Department of Environment, Water and Natural Resources in achieving their 6-star green-star building.

Augusta Soteriou from Schiavello Construction accepted the award under the CitySwitch Green Office Program at the 2017 Carbon Neutral Adelaide Awards.

The inaugural Carbon Neutral Adelaide Awards were held this month celebrating the leadership and contribution of Carbon Neutral Adelaide Partners to the community’s shared aspiration to become the world’s first carbon-neutral city.

The awards also recognise businesses and other organisations who are leading the way in reducing the city’s carbon emissions.

The Doors Are Open! Step inside Schiavello’s new Melbourne retail showroom by Hecker Guthrie. With the opening of our new retail showroom, we establish an all new visual and design language for residential living. A big thank you to our clients, friends and industry who celebrated the launch this month. The ground level of the Prima Tower was transformed into a warm, light filled space showcasing local and international design by Schiavello, MAP and Very Wood.

The double-storey beer garden and apartment blocks have transformed dramatically over the course of the year at the Village Belle Hotel.

The heritage-listed St Kilda icon is coming along nicely with construction due to be completed by the end of 2017.

M-City’s Turning of the Soil Ceremony was held on Friday 3rd November 2017 at 10:30 am.

The Honorable Daniel Andrews marked the event with the M-City development team including Tony and Peter Schiavello of Schiavello Group, and Nick and Rachele Saraceno, Domenic Sciglitano and Annette Sciglitano from Saraceno Group.

Hon. Daniel Andrews says of the M-City development: “Both the Saraceno and Schiavello families, their joint venture partners, and the lead tenants should be very proud that after a lot of planning, and a lot of hard work, they’ve been able to get to this point, realise the dream, and create thousands of ongoing jobs.

Melbourne’s largest suburban mixed-use project M-City Monash is racking up some noteworthy milestones.

Construction works have begun on the site of M-City – Schiavello Group’s $1 billion mixed-use development in Clayton.

Piling and retention works across the 35,000sqm plot are underway on the corner of Princess Highway and Blackburn Road, signifying the project’s transition into reality after being dormant for many years.

Schiavello Construction donated their time along with Montlaur and the Property Industry Foundation to transform an unused reception area into a Barista Training Facility.

Wheelly Good Coffee is a Social Enterprise Program part of the Whitelion organisation, established to provide training and employment opportunities for at-risk youth.

This latest project will provide our youth with the tools and courage to grow and create a better future, ultimately gaining them long-term employment in the hospitality industry.

The Jamie Larcombe Centre opened today after months of careful planning, collaboration and construction, marking a new beginning of advanced healthcare for our Veterans and their families.

The Centre was officially opened on Thursday 5 October 2017 by the Larcombe family, Minister for Veterans’ Affairs and the Minister for Health, Mental Health and Substance Abuse. More

Schiavello’s launch into the UAE was celebrated with a stellar event in Dubai on Monday September 25th.With the event hosted in Dubai’s design district, also the home of the newly launched showroom, we were able to demonstrate our dedication to delivering innovative design to the region. The private event played host to the UAE’s top architects and designers alongside representatives from the Australian Embassy and key guests flying in from Australia. Guests enjoyed a delicious selection of Australian canapés and drinks to the backdrop of a locally renowned jazz band. It was a memorable evening!
