A recent relocation to Sydney’s Circular Quay provided AIM the opportunity to reposition and strengthen its brand and culture, and to create a dynamic new learning and training facility.
futurespace collaborated with AIM and Sony to create a new, state-of-the-art environment that would set the benchmark for the executive education experience. The brief called for flexible, sophisticated and technology enabled spaces that offered a stimulating learning experience for their professional clients.
The design creates a journey through various defined spaces; the Learning, Working, Listening and Capturing zones, and interactive spaces powered by Sony technology including tablets, headphones, and a “Great Wall” of touch TVs. A rich and vibrant colour palette is featured alongside natural bamboo veneer, and the space maximises natural light and views throughout, offering a stimulating experience for learning.
Schiavello Systems worked with futurespace and AIM to provide a collection of loose furniture to support a multitude of spaces in the new facility. With a focus on flexibility, meeting areas feature Climate tables, a product that is lightweight and can be easily moved around and configured to bring various collaborative groups together. A selection of lightweight tables and chairs ensures people can move around to work where and how they want. Liberty Mesh chairs by Humanscale offer a flexible fit for learning spaces. With no locked features, Liberty Mesh is agile, automatically adjusting to different individuals as they come and go throughout the day.
The entry space makes a sophisticated yet fun first impression with Toro Badjo chairs in a range of fabrics to complement the space. A host of additional furniture from Schiavello helps set the scene for this flexible and fun educational experience.
