Schiavello’s Systems and Health teams continue to collaborate with SA Health and the Department of Planning Transport & Infrastructure (DPTI) to develop solutions for the State’s new mental health facilities.

Located in Woodville, SA, the Western Community Mental Health Centre is the third facility in the new network. Schiavello was engaged by DPTI to provide furniture solutions, following the successful delivery of the Northern Community Mental Health Centre in Salisbury.

Schiavello worked closely with Architectural firm Grieve Gillett to explore how to support all staff functions and create a synergy between the administrative areas and consultative/client-focused areas of the centre. Schiavello’s Centric workstations with System 45 divisional screens were selected to support a flexible workspace that could adapt to the variety of administrative, consultative and medical activities that define health facilities.

The Kayt collection was customised to fulfil health-specific requirements, while offering the range’s signature contemporary aesthetic. Cero and Sub-Cero stools added a stylish contemporary element catered to families with young children. Schiavello’s wide range of seating solutions helped the client create a space with a number of different seating options for all types of patients and visitors.

Schiavello offered a procurement service to secure highly specialised furniture, such as Phlebotomy chairs for taking blood, and an electronically operated two-section couch for examinations. Schiavello looks forward to continuing this relationship with SA Health and assisting with future mental health centre rollouts.
