Focus Quiet Rooms Win Gold at Best of NeoCon Awards

Previously awarded Silver in the same category in 2023, jurors were presented with the latest evolution of the Focus Quiet Room range within Schiavello’s permanent Chicago showroom at THE MART. Upgrades included a new services panel and lighting system, allowing users to adjust and control lighting and ventilation, customise lighting zone selections and extending light throw.

A new flexible door system meanwhile, allows the option of internal and external swinging doors, as well as inter-room adjoining doors.

Advanced tech integrations with the Nura Space platform allows users to book rooms and schedule services to turn on prior to arrival, with Schiavello offering a full-turn-key solution, rather than aligning with third party providers.

Admired for their signature warmth and softness through timber and other leading materials and textiles, Schiavello once again illustrated the ability to tailor their Focus Quiet Room range. New finishes taken from the yet-to-be-released ColourLab Volume 4, created in partnership with Italian colour master, Giulio Ridolfo, explores influences from landscape architecture and includes new and unexpected textures and materials.

With sustainability central to the Schiavello business, the Focus Quiet Room range was recently accredited with an updated ‘Red List Approved’ Declare label, the leading environmental accreditation certification.

Designed by Schiavello’s own Nick Tennant, Focus Booth is admired for its versatility and flexibility. It provides a quiet refuge for a private conversation or solo work time, dampening outside noise and shielding the user from view. Available as a single booth, ottoman combo and over 10 other variations, Focus Booth’s high, curved panels form a shield from the surrounding environment, creating a quiet and intimate place of retreat with dampened acoustics. With various power and data connection options available, Focus can be tailored in a range of finishes, including fabric, leather, veneer, MDF and timber.

The 2024 Awards featured entries across more than 50 product categories, evaluated by a diverse jury of leading architects, designers, specifiers, enterprise clients, facility managers and top business media, all who judged the products on site at THE MART.
