Aire Table

Aire provides an elegant and coherent aesthetic for meeting, training or work settings, supporting an array of working philosophies, including collaboration, retreat, formal and informal communication.

Aire is very comfortable and light, and doesn’t create much visual 'noise' or clutter, while a seamless understructure eliminates leg obstructions.

The Aire collection’s four pieces – Aire Fold, Aire Work Bench, Aire Meeting and Aire Media Stand – were all designed together and share a familiar design.

Aire’s aluminium legs and steel understructure can be powder coated in a variety of tones, sourced from the Schiavello ColourLab. Tabletops are available in a soft-edged radius and the veneer worktops can be finished in a natural oak or colourful wash.

Realised by Spanish designer Mario Ruiz, the Aire collection of tables and workbenches is light and versatile, providing an elegant aesthetic for training, meeting and work settings.

Supporting change in the workplace and flexibility in purpose, Aire’s ability to adapt to new working requirements is synonymous with its design. Thoughtfully considered, Aire couples a light finish with strong performance through the use of high-quality aluminium and sound engineering.

For Ruiz, unity played a big part in the development of the three distinct pieces: Aire Fold, Aire Work Bench and Aire Meeting. The products all share geometry and detail, and were designed together – which is unusual but was done in order to create the perception that users can work in a homogeneous environment, even though their tasks are different.

Mario Ruiz has a 20-year product design career that spans furniture, technology, lighting, office and applied graphics. His skill and multidisciplinary experience has seen him collaborate with over 120 companies worldwide and be acknowledged with more than 40 awards in Europe and the United States.

In 2011, a mutual friend introduced Mario and Peter Schiavello. With a penchant for talented designers, Peter asked Ruiz to design products that would meet the needs of the future, one of which was the Aire Table. Since Schiavello had produced a number of successful desking products, the company’s design and manufacturing were well equipped to bring such a versatile and light design to fruition.
