Schiavello Singapore Regional Account Manager, Skye Nicholls, is getting out of the office and into the boxing ring to participate in the 2015 White Collar Boxing Singapore event on October 17.

The black tie event will see guests enjoy a four course meal at the Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre, while competitors from traditional ‘white collar’ professions battle it out in the ring to raise money for the Children’s Surgical Centre in Cambodia.

With little to no boxing experience, Skye will undergo an intensive 12 week training program to perfect her hooks and jabs for the amateur competition.

“When people ask me why I am doing this, I really can’t come up with a logical reason,” says Skye. “It sounded like a good idea at the time. Why wouldn’t I train seven days a week for three months to be put inside a boxing ring in front of 1500 people? On the upside, we are raising money for a fantastic charity and getting super fit at the same time!”

Vanda Boxing Club has trained over 390 white collar boxers for the event. In its third year, White Collar Boxing Singapore has raised in excess of $2 million for children’s charities across Asia.
