Congratulations to Keti Malkoski and Dr Jacqueline C Vischer on the successful book launch of The Power of Workspace for People & Business. Hosted in Sydney and Melbourne on March 31 & April 1, over 250 guests including key architects, designers, executives, workplace strategists and media, joined Malkoski and Vischer for a series of discussions on transformational workspace psychology.

Published by Schiavello in Australia, this book explains why workplace change management, and ‘Co-creation’ with employee participation, is an imperative component of a new workspace outcome. Highlighting numerous real-life examples of how companies and employers have made the ‘right’ workspace decisions, this book invites workspace users — employees and teams — to participate in the process by using their feedback constructively to help create innovative and thoughtful designs that meet employees’ needs and support their work.

During each launch event, Malkoski and Vischer shared their collective knowledge and extensive research over canapés, before guests were invited to participate in a thought-provoking Q&A.  Keti Malkoski, Schiavello Principal – People and Culture, says:

“After three years of research and inter-country collaboration with Jacqueline, it is exciting to see The Power of Workspace for People & Business come to fruition. It was inspiring to see the launch spark such informative consideration, conversation and discussion in the area of workplace psychology”.

The launch has already received media coverage including an article in The Age by Phillip Hopkins. The story highlights both fundamentals discussed in the book and how they were applied to the Australia Post refurbishment in Sydney. Schiavello provided flexible furniture solutions for the 8000sqm project, including Climate workstations and Marina roundtables.
