In partnership with RMIT, we recently hosted a walk-through of the RMIT Oxford Scholar Hotel to China University of Mining and Technology (CUMT) students.

This was the perfect opportunity to showcase how a Construction Management course can translate into the real world.

Completed as part of their degree at RMIT, students donned their hi-vis, hardhats, and steel capped boots to visit the live site.

The heritage-listed building provided different perspectives to construction scenarios that had previously only been taught in theory. The walk-through also allowed Sean Durkin, Program Manager of Construction Management RMIT, to detail the complexity of construction management further.

“It was great to host the next generation of builders through our site and give them a glimpse of a typical day in construction,” says Kris Stevens, Site Manager Schiavello Construction VIC.
