The space within the Focus Quiet Work Room provides a number of possibilities for use. Position a generously proportioned armchair and a side table within the unit for a space for quiet thinking, reading or chatting on the phone, or alternatively insert a desk chair and a 1200mm wide workpoint, resulting in a space for solo, focused work.
Best practice in accessibility has informed the Focus Quiet Work Room’s generous proportions. Not relying on a raised floor, the inherently flexible nature of the design also means alterations to standard configurations are easily accommodated, allowing specific dimensional requirements for accessibility to be met.

As the open plan office typology has grown in popularity over the last decade, with it also grew issues over a lack of spaces of focus within the workspace. Distracting and intrusive noise in the office can lead to poor concentration and, as a result, is a costly problem for businesses today. Meanwhile, research suggests that office workers lose over an hour per day due to uncontrolled interruptions.
To resolve this, the Schiavello Design Studio set out to develop a piece of interior architecture that could become a space of unbeatable concentration – a room in which it was virtually impossible to be interrupted or distracted. After years of precise engineering and testing, Focus Quiet Room came to fruition in 2019. Industry-leading acoustics, integrated with highly customisable finishes and a modular set-up, the room is a leader in its field, creating a place of tranquility and balance in the workspace.
The Schiavello Design Studio is made up of a number of multi-disciplinary designers and engineers with expertise in industrial design, interior design and product engineering. Supported by an array of trade-based professionals, the technically focused team brings a diverse expertise to new and evolved product development.
Maintaining thoughtful, innovative and research-driven outlooks on workplace design, the Schiavello Design Studio has been the driving force behind a number of the company’s most successful solutions. The most notable concepts include Krossi – the first and only Australian made and designed sit/stand desk – in 2013, the pioneering Climate malleable workplace system in 2010, and the industry-leading acoustics ‘room within a room’, Focus Quiet Room collection in 2019.
Now, introducing the latest sofa collection Valli in 2022, the studio continues to develop solutions catering to changing typology, business and people needs and technology requirements. All while maintaining product quality, longevity, effortless visual appeal and environmental sustainability.
