Scope Accessory Rail

The Scope Accessory Rail attaches to any desk via a bracket, which is screwed into the worktop. Accessories such as Scope Shelves, Modesty Panels, Privacy Panels and power outlets attach to the Accessory Rail or clamp directly to the worktop, and can easily be changed and moved with minimal tools.

Accessory Rails are supplied in a range of lengths and are available for fixed height or adjustable height desks, as well as double-sided or bridge mounted. All Scope Rails and accessories are available in a number of powder coat colours from the Schiavello ColourLab range, while privacy panels are available in P.E.T, MDF, glass or perspex.

Through the various Scope accessories available, significant storage space can be added to a workspace without the need for costly upgrading of the existing desk or worktop.

Comprised of aluminium and die cast aluminium parts, Scope is thin, yet strong. “We spent a lot of time with the engineering, ensuring that the accessories were able to remain as thin as possible, meaning they would take up minimal visual space, while still being able to hold significant weight,” says Matt Potter of the Schiavello Studio. The materiality also means that both the Scope Accessory Rail and all accessories are able to be recycled at their end of life.

With complete control over which accessories are added to each workspace, Scope allows for full customisation. The Accessory Rail is available in single-sided, double-sided and bridge-mounted for single, back-to-back and height adjustable workstations, and both the rail and accessories are also available in a range of powder coat colours from the Schiavello ColourLab range.

With a number of desking and privacy panel options available, and the flexible workspace movement in full swing in 2016, Peter Schiavello decided that an agile and completely modular accessory system should be added to Schiavello’s repertoire. In response, the Schiavello Studio designed Scope – which brings together a range of accessories based around a central accessory rail.

The Schiavello Design Studio comprises a number of talented product designers and engineers. The studio has been the driving force behind a number of Schiavello’s most successful designs, including Krossi - the first and only Australian made and designed sit/stand desk – in 2013, the pioneering Climate malleable workplace system in 2010, the industry-leading acoustics ‘room within a room’, Focus Quiet Room collection in 2019 and the innovative sofa collection Valli in 2022.

The studio continues to develop solutions catering to changing typology, business and people needs and technology requirements. All while maintaining product quality, longevity, effortless visual appeal and environmental sustainability.
