The excitment is building
MPavilion 2022 pushes the boundaries of construction with a fabric-based structure. all(zone)'s, an architecture and design practice based in Bangkok, Thailand, created the ground-breaking design using experimental materials.
Built at our local manufacturing facility in Tullamarine, Victoria, before being transported to Queen Victoria Gardens, the complexity of the structure involved 700 drawings and 1,000 pieces welded together.
Our Project Manager Tony Alnwick explains, “The main complexity of this project has been bringing all the engineering aspects into one structure. We have a steel structure, and then we have a fabric and tensioning structure that’s all got to be collaborated and brought together as one piece.”
